Iran's interior minister, Ahmad Vahidi, reported that several individuals involved in the January 3 attack in Kerman were arrested during the ceremony commemorating the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani.

“The security services will later announce information about the detainees,” Vahidi said.

According to the IRNA agency, to date, a total of 89 people, including 12 children, have died and another 284 have been injured by the double explosion.

According to local media reports, the first explosion occurred 700 meters away and the second one a kilometer from the cemetery, suggesting that the explosives were away from the busiest areas and did not pass through security doors. The explosions, despite their proximity, caused no damage to the grave of General Qasem Soleimani.
