Guyanese president Irfaan Ali arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, on a Raytheon Hawker 900XP aircraft flying the American flag, where he held a meeting with the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, this in the midst of tensions generated by Guyana's attempt to dispossess the territory of Guiana Esequiba.
The arrival of the Guyanese president on this plane aroused suspicion due to the complaints that have been made against him regarding the financing by the transnational company of American capital Exxon Mobil and his submission to the offices of the United States, to promote a conflict with Venezuela.
This meeting for the Essequibo between the Venezuelan president and his Guyanese counterpart in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was promoted by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and CARICOM.
