Jorge Rodríguez: 1,423 infrastructure works were affected in La Guaira

To date, in the state of La Guaira, among multifamily and single-family homes, 383 buildings have been affected in total, said the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

During a balance sheet released this Friday, Rodríguez explained that, as a result of the earthquakes suffered on June 24, 13 hospitals, 25 shopping centers and 1,002 structures were affected to reach a total of 1,423 infrastructure works affected.

“So far, more than 2.6 million kilos of food, including perishable, imperishable and protein, have been distributed to all the people who have been affected,” he said, while assuring that the Executive is redoubling its efforts to provide care and provide temporary shelter to the inhabitants of La Guaira whose homes have been affected and are spending the night in public spaces.

In the same way, he explained that to date several hundred people have been rescued from the rubble by security forces.
