More than 2,624 foreign rescuers, accompanied by 137 dogs, are carrying out search and rescue tasks for people who remain under the rubble in areas most affected by recent earthquakes.
This was detailed by the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, during a balance sheet offered at noon this Sunday, where he stressed that the Bolivarian Government is allowing any foreign delegation of humanitarian aid that wishes to collaborate with search and rescue efforts to enter the country.
“We welcome everyone with gratitude and with open arms. The one who proposes to help us, immediately, we are saying yes. At this time we are not attending to any type of political or geographical consideration, whoever indicates that you want to help us we receive it with great pleasure and we will thank you forever”, he emphasized.
In the same way, the president of the AN indicated that these delegations have brought 84.4 tons of equipment, medicines and surgical medical supplies to the country to treat the victims.
