Jorge Rodríguez: La Guaira is totally militarized

The state of La Guaira is fully militarized, under complete control of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), said the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

“La Guaira is under the control of the FANB to guarantee security, internal order and to facilitate the rescue work that, without resting, without sleeping, and even without hydrating, is carried out by Venezuelan rescue and international solidarity bodies,” Rodríguez highlighted during a review offered this Friday.

In the same way, the president of the Legislative Branch indicated that rescue efforts are mainly focused on the areas of Caraballeda, Macuro, Los Corales, Playa Grande de Catia La Mar. “These are the sectors of La Guaira that are totally affected by the action of earthquakes. However, we are at all the points where there was an impact,” he stressed.

On the other hand, he pointed out that one of the first tasks carried out by the security forces was to clear roads to facilitate the mobilization of rescue groups and machinery.
