Jorge Rodríguez on international aid: Staff from Curaçao, Argentina, Qatar, Puerto Rico and Barbados join

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, reported that in addition to the rescue and international aid efforts, there are “16 doctors from Curaçao, medical personnel and rescuers from Argentina, Qatar, rescuers and canines from Puerto Rico, and seven security personnel from Barbados.”

In this regard, he highlighted the international aid so far there are 2,242 rescuers and 96 canines to save the lives of people who are still under the rubble, due to earthquakes.

In addition, he indicated that there are also 40 cargo vehicles and 32 transfer vehicles for the rescue work. At the same time, he specified that between materials, equipment and tools, 103.7 tons of equipment and 3 tons of medicines.

“This is in addition to the more than 30,000 personnel, including military personnel, police, rescuers, medical personnel, paramedical personnel, companions, psychologists; more than 30,000 specialized Venezuelans who are currently helping in disaster areas,” he said.
