The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, is going this Saturday to inspect the temporary camp in the Los Caracas Vacation City, the largest in the state of La Guaira, which houses victims of the earthquakes of last June 24.

In a message released on his social networks, Rodríguez highlighted that the objective is to “guarantee decent and optimal conditions” to people who are in these spaces after losing their homes during the catastrophe.

“From the General Staff, we are committed to implementing a housing plan for families affected by the earthquakes,” said the head of Parliament, stressing that the instruction of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez is that the temporary camps should be of short duration.

“We are going to review the conditions in which our sisters and brothers who are currently there in the transitional camp of Los Caracas are in and then we are going to come by land to be able to inspect and search for enough land on the eastern side of the state of La Guaira to be able to erect and build at least two more large temporary camps,” he said.
