The number of people killed as a result of the two earthquakes that affected our country on June 24 has risen to 1,430, said the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez.
“Our embrace, our condolences, our condolences to the families, close friends of these Venezuelans,” he emphasized during a balance sheet offered at noon this Saturday.
In the same way, Rodríguez indicated that to date, 3,238 people have been injured and 3,142 families are affected, who are being treated in shelters provided by the Bolivarian Government in the seven states where the earthquakes caused the greatest damage.
“In our hospitals, we have provided more than 5 thousand assistance; more than 7 thousand 500 triage visits; more than 12 thousand medical care in the disaster area. So far we have served 73,736 families,” he said.
In the same way, he highlighted that the Executive has distributed 7 million 200 thousand kilos of food to disaster areas, especially in La Guaira. “In addition to these kilos, 16,145 bags of food have been delivered directly,” he said.
