Kelvis Padrino set a national record in the 400 meters flat at the Athletics Championship in Caracas

Kelvis Padrino, who set the national record in the 400 meters flat, in the National Athletics Championship that took place at the Brígido Iriarte Olympic Stadium, from August 21 to 23.

Padrino, who set the national record in the 400 meters flat with a time of 45.05 seconds, to surpass the old mark of 45.21 set by Albert Bravo from Zulia on November 23, 2014.

For her part, Ahymara Espinoza won with 16.55 meters in bullet speed and remains the first in the national ranking.

Meanwhile, Hilary Rivas qualified in the 100 meters flat with a record of 11.59 seconds, while Naomi García from Sucrense dominated the 400 m with 54.32 seconds.

The T20 Paralympic athlete and recent champion in the Cali Grand Prix, Leonela Vera, reached a time of 54 seconds, in the 400 meters, ranking number 1 in the world ranking.

The National Championship was attended by delegations from all the country's entities and invited international athletes from the Dominican Republic.
