President Delcy Rodríguez greeted a Venezuelan woman recognized by FAO as a food hero

In Rome, Italy, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, greeted María Cantalicia Torres, a Venezuelan woman recognized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as one of the 100 heroes of food.

Through her Telegram channel, the president indicated that, on the Day of Indigenous Resistance, she had the joy of embracing Torres and stressed that “his knowledge, dedication and love for our land keep alive an ancient legacy that we must honor and protect.”

“In each ancient seed lives a part of our history and identity (...) May our roots continue to flourish and may their fruits nourish the present and future of Venezuela,” Rodríguez said in his publication.
