Las Delicias Zoo in Aragua announced the birth of two white lion cubs

This is a subspecies of white lions that is currently in danger of extinction.

The Las Delicias Zoo in the state of Aragua, the center for the protection and conservation of Venezuelan fauna, announced the birth of two baby timbavati lions (Panthera leo malanochaita), a subspecies of white lions that is currently in danger of extinction.

Through their account on the social network Instagram, zoo staff reported that the reproduction of these species is possible thanks to the efforts made by a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to the conservation, protection and preservation of species, through the development of breeding, research and education programs to safeguard biodiversity on the planet.

“Our new inhabitants are already roaring with the vitality of wildlife, they are the result of exceptional care and an environment designed for optimal development,” reads part of the statement.

It should also be noted that the Las Delicias Zoo performs all the functions of a conservation center, especially with regard to raising the awareness and education of the public that visits these spaces.
