Meléndez: Brigades intensify rehabilitation of schools in Caracas for the start of the school year

The brigades will intensify rehabilitation works this weekend in a hundred educational centers in the city, as the start of the school year approaches, said the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez.

He explained that during a working meeting held this Friday at the Caracas Command Post, the lines of action for the different entities of the institution were reinforced.

“In total, we have more than 160 fronts throughout the capital city, reconstructing spaces and buildings affected by the earthquakes of June 24,” Meléndez said.

The rehabilitation of the schools is part of the Venezuela Renace Plan, which promotes the recovery of educational infrastructure and other public spaces in the capital, with the purpose of ensuring the safe return of students to classrooms.
