Diosdado Cabello Rondón, Sectorial Vice President of Policy, Public Security and Peace, verified the refurbishment of the spaces of the Maritime University of La Guaira, which serves as a temporary camp to receive individuals and families affected by the earthquakes of June 24.
“We are at the maritime university where the largest number of brothers and sisters in La Guaira are gathered, and here they have been joining forces, first of course, you see the structures and feel tempted to bring people into the structures, we did an evaluation of the structures, and an evaluation that generates some kind of risk, that's why we have been setting up tents out there, to get people to leave, until now we have had a very favorable response from colleagues and companions. Now we started with this building, which was structurally more solid, and the one with the kitchen and dining room were also refurbished,” he said.
He reiterated his commitment to consolidate within 24 hours a site that meets the minimum human conditions that affected families in this entity must have during their stay, in the spaces of the Maritime University of Venezuela.
