Minister Garcés: Mass transportation systems in the Central Region operate normally

Mass transportation systems in the Central Region of Venezuela are fully operational, said the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Francisco Garcés, during an interview with Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV).
Regarding terrestrial connectivity, Garcés confirmed that the road network and mass transport systems (including rail) are fully operational.
He also highlighted that the viaducts of the Car Acas-La Guaira highway, as well as the bridges, retain their structural stability, thanks to the tireless efforts of the crews, who used special equipment to carefully review the structures.
He warned that preventive restrictions on specific road sections will be lifted gradually, as technical inspections progress; in this way, the Executive consolidates a safe and fluid daily mobility scheme for all citizens.
On the other hand, prior to the start of operations of the temporary runway at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state, Garcés guaranteed that the runway was recovered in time by Venezuelan professionals; until there were spaces to fluidly serve 720 passengers departing internationally, 480 in the domestic one, 496 arriving internationally and 472 in the domestic one.
Regarding airport facilities, the minister reiterated that the damage is small and is in specific areas, to the point of ruling out risks to the general stability of the place.
