Minister Cabello supervised controlled demolition of a building affected by the earthquakes in La Guaira (+ photos)

This Friday, August 28, the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, supervised the controlled demolition in the state of La Guaira, of a building that was damaged by the two earthquakes that occurred in the country on June 24.

“Okay fellas, take a look. We have this building that complied with the surrounding safety protocols, the risk that it embodies around other works that are going to be done, the decision was made to demolish in a controlled manner,” he explained.

He said that “upstairs we have the drones that are watching the entire execution of the process according to the calculations made by our experts here from the arms and explosives management of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces. There we have teams of dogs that are ready to enter, to see if there is any type of explosive left that hasn't been detonated.”

In addition, the Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace stressed that “today we are testing here a robot dog that checks explosive gas and bodies at the same time between the robot dog to ease the burden on the dogs and not endanger them and our people, our officials and the civil servants.”

He maintained that all measures were taken with Civil Protection, Firefighters, “everyone, all carrying out their task and the protocol is the same”,

In this sense, when referring to the procedure, he specified that “the siren notifies that they have already been activated, the count is made that allows them to be followed up, then the count, the explosion and then it will cool down and then the operating equipment enters. A team, coordinated work, detailed work, work that requires a lot of precision. So far we haven't failed in any of them.”
