Minister Héctor Rodríguez: “The 2025 National Student Games were a resounding success

During the closing ceremony of the XIX National Student Sports Games 2025, the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, described the event as a “resounding success”, emphasizing the impact of the integral development of Venezuelan youth.

‎ “On behalf of the Bolivarian Government and President Nicolás Maduro, we want to congratulate and thank all the athletes, students and organizers. You are the future of Venezuela. These games have not only been a sporting festival, but also a platform for training in values, discipline and technique. You are an example for the great, the sublime, the beautiful,” he said.

‎Asimismo, referred to the fact that, after more than 3,000 anthropometric tests carried out during the event, 400 athletes were selected to join the national team, who have started training to present Venezuela in international competitions.

‎ It also celebrated the 18 national records set during the Games.
‎
‎ “I want to congratulate all states for this achievement. Breaking 18 records in a single event shows the potential of our youth,” he said while stressing that for the first time the state of Guayana Esequiba participated in the games, which represents a milestone in the development of sports policy in this region.
‎
‎Destacó that the objective is to continue integrating the discipline of Olympic cycling and the national strategic plan, so that, through mass participation, talents can be identified that can advance the national team.
‎
‎ “They are examples for these new generations, to form in these children their hearts for big things,” he concluded.
