Minister Marco Torres supervised the rehabilitation of the El Guapo Reservoir in Miranda

The Minister of the People's Power for Water Care (MINAGUAS), Rodolfo Marco Torres, together with the president of the Hydrological Department of the Capital Region (HIDROCAPITAL), Carlos Mast, inspected the progress of rehabilitation work in the El Guapo Reservoir in Miranda state.

This was reported by Marco Torres in his account on the social network X, where he highlighted the articulation of MINAGUAS, the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services (VPSOPS) and HIDROCAPITAL.

In the message, he said that “following instructions from our Pdte @ NicolasMaduro, we moved to the El Guapo reservoir, in Miranda state, together with the working class of @HidroCapital2, to carry out an inspection of the comprehensive rehabilitation and agroecological maintenance of this important water system.”

He recalled that this reservoir “serves the municipalities of Pedro Gual, Páez, Morón, Andrés Bello and Brión in the Barlovento axis, and produces 1,200 liters of water per second for more than 350,000 inhabitants of Miranda”.

Marco Torres, attached a video of the day of inspection of the operation and comprehensive rehabilitation of the El Guapo Reservoir.

“We are checking and supervising the supply of 1,200 liters of water per second to the population, more than 350,000 people who benefit from this El Guapo Reservoir and who we must take care of,” he said.

He added that “every drop counts, especially now that we are in a dry period, we have enough storage capacity in this reservoir”.

For his part, the president of HIDROCAPITAL, Carlos Mast, indicated that these actions are part of the work and rehabilitation of the El Guapo water treatment plant, the constant review and supervision of reservoirs and their agroecological maintenance.
