The Minister of Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, carried out a review of the fuel distribution plant in Catia La Mar, La Guaira state, in order to guarantee its supply to all the machinery used in rescue work.

“We are validating first-hand that diesel reaches all the necessary places and that there is no shortage of fuel required by machinery to provide care,” he said in statements to VTV.

The Minister stressed that this storage terminal received a vessel with more than 1.5 million liters from the Paraguaná Refining Complex, Falcón state. “This supply is primarily intended to ensure the operation of the heavy machinery that is currently carrying out search, rescue and care tasks in the most affected areas,” he emphasized.

The official stressed that this deployment is carried out in direct coordination with the state oil company Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and under the instructions of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, who keeps the entire National Government team working in the most affected states, especially in La Guaira.

In addition, Minister Henao sent a message of peace of mind to the population, assuring that the hydrocarbons sector remains completely normal and operational. “Our workforce is attentive and responding directly to the emergency,” he said.
