Minister Ricardo Menéndez: Decolonizing education is part of the Plan of the 7 Transformations

The sectoral vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, stated that “at this time, when the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has been permanently under the siege of North American imperialism, the decolonization of our society, the vision of correct education from the point of view of pedagogical development, liberating development of thought, is one of the central elements of the point of view of the development of the Plan of the 7 Transformations”.

The minister of the Planning Department, in a statement to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), highlighted the methods of education in Venezuela as mechanisms to promote the development of the nation framed in the Plan of the Seven Ts.

He commented that one of the central themes of everything related to the construction of this vision of a free society is the development of full democracy in Venezuela.

“Obviously, this educational system, which is not only education, let's say, formal, corresponds to the transformation of the value system, to the great component that is the cultural transformation of society,” he said.

In addition, Menéndez announced in the coming days the call for a tribute to Professor América Bracho, a Venezuelan teacher who brought ideas to national education through comprehensive and liberating training.
