This Tuesday, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Venezuela, Ashok Babu, with the aim of deepening cultural exchange between the two nations.

In his publication, Villegas revealed that he gave Ashok Babu as a gift a hammock made in the town of Tintorero, Lara state, while the representative of India presented him with a handmade piece.

“Today #19Dic I had the pleasure of receiving the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Ashok Babu, with whom we share a common willingness to increasingly enhance cultural exchange between our peoples. A country of immense spiritual wealth, the cradle of yoga, a fundamental member of the BRICS group and a global cinematographic power, India offers great possibilities for respectful and mutually constructive cultural dialogue with Venezuela. I gave the diplomat a hammock from Tintorero, Lara state, and he gave me a beautiful handmade piece from his native region. Thank you, my friend ambassador!” , wrote V illegas.

India and Venezuela maintain a long bilateral relationship, on October 1 of this year both countries celebrated the sixty-fourth (64th) anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
