The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, reported that technical teams from the National Center Foundation for Research and Certification in Housing, Habitat and Urban Development carried out structural inspections at the General Simón Bolívar Naval Establishment and the Bolivarian Marine Infantry Command, located in the Mamo Plateau, La Guaira state.

During the evaluation, columns, beams and slabs were reviewed to determine the safety conditions of the buildings and, based on these analyses, recommendations will be issued aimed at their rehabilitation, prioritizing the protection of life.

The minister pointed out that these actions are part of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Housing Habitability and General Infrastructure, created by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez and, within this framework, announced that the process will move towards a new phase that will incorporate international teams to strengthen inspections in housing and national infrastructure.
