A new cargo flight from Barbados landed this Wednesday at “Simón Bolívar” International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, with more supplies to install a field hospital at the “Rubén González” Industrial Technical School, in Guarenas, Miranda state.

The shipment was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Andrea Corao, who thanked the ambassador of Barbados accredited to Venezuela, Aquinas J. Clarke, for this humanitarian initiative.

Since the start of the national emergency due to the double earthquake of June 24, the Caribbean country has carried out several humanitarian flights to support efforts to care for the injured and affected families.

Currently, 27 Barbadians are in Venezuela, including 14 rescuers and workers who have the task of setting up the field hospital in the state of Miranda, one of the seven entities most affected by the earthquakes.
