A total of 453 people were evicted by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) from the area called “Agua Blanca”, in the Caura National Park in Bolívar state, reported the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through a message published in his X account, he explained that the above-mentioned people had arbitrarily settled in these protected natural areas that enjoy a legal status which obliges citizens to care for and conserve the wealth of the flora and fauna that exists there.
“In accordance with the Land Management Act, the State will assign specific sites for economic development outside of parks and forest reserves,” said the senior military official.
