More than 5 thousand health professionals deployed after the earthquake

The Minister of Health, Carlos Alvarado, reported that the deployment of more than five thousand professionals has been activated to attend to the emergency generated by the earthquake in the central region of the country.

Through an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he specified that the operation includes personnel from the Ministry of Health, IVSS, Military Health, Ipasme and PDVSA, so the response focused on the areas with the greatest damage.

He indicated that more than four thousand three hundred injured in the public system and one hundred and fifty patients in private centers were assisted, in addition to coordinating field hospitals in Catia La Mar due to the impact recorded in La Guaira with two hundred and thirty-five people dead.

Alvarado dismissed unverified figures about the earthquake and urged the population to follow only the official bulletins of the National Executive to know the progress of the operations.
