More than 500 professionals from the mining sector and basic industries are participating in rescue efforts in La Guaira, where operations continue to serve the population affected by the two earthquakes recorded in the country.

The workforce of the Ministry of Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries and the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana mobilized towards the entity in order to support rescue and recovery actions, so since Thursday, June 25, it has been deployed in every area where assistance and transfer of victims are carried out.

The mining and basic industrial working class supports the Venezuelan State's rescue units and international teams, so that together they are making progress in locating people trapped under collapsed structures, managing to recover several survivors in the midst of an operation that remains active.

The deployment includes more than 515 workers, including firefighters, emergency control technicians, health personnel, brigade members, machine operators and volunteers, who articulate functions to ensure comprehensive care for those affected and to sustain the pace of operations at the different points of impact.

These actions are aligned with the measures promoted by the Bolivarian Government to ensure well-being for the population, so the Ministry of Ecological Mining Development and Basic Industries reaffirms its commitment to the country through management that incorporates its productive capacity into the national recovery effort.
