To date, more than 7,000 illegal miners have been evacuated by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) from protected natural areas in the states of Amazonas and Bolivar.

This was indicated by the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, who stressed that the expulsion of these people has been carried out in response to the security, defense and environmental protection plans being carried out by the military institution.

“National parks, national monuments, forest reserves, biosphere reserves and other natural reservoirs must be protected by the country's inhabitants. It is necessary to fulfill the 5th historic objective of the Homeland Plan: “To contribute to the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species,” he highlighted through his X account.
