MPPEU suspended academic and administrative activities at all universities in the country (+press release)

Through an official statement, the
Ministry of People's Power for University Education (MPPEU) announced the total
suspension of academic and administrative activities in all university education institutions
across the country, following the State of Emergency
decreed following the strong earthquakes recorded.
They also called on “students
and teachers of health sciences to support the competent authorities in supporting
the care of health emergencies, and to students and
teachers of civil engineering so that, together with those responsible
in the area, they evaluate infrastructural damage to homes.”
In addition, they asked institutions that
can operate so that, in coordination with the national and
regional government, they serve as collection centers and shelters, “while evaluating the possibility of activating some university canteens to
address this emergency.”
