The National Assembly postponed to a next plenary session the second discussion of the Bill for the Defense of Guiana Esequiba.

The request for deferral was made by the head of the country's bank and proponent of this Law, Diosdado Cabello, indicated that this action seeks to include in this legal instrument proposals that, from the People's Power and other organizations, have continued to come to parliament.

“It seems that these 8 articles (already discussed by the AN) are unanimous in the sense of the proposals that were made, but starting with article 8 there are articles for which we are still receiving proposals,” he said during the debate.

In this regard, Cabello highlighted that during the public consultation for the Draft Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Esequiba, more than 200 meetings were held in which different proposals were received.
