National cycling and para-cycling begins a checkup as part of the National Road Championship

Starting this Wednesday, the Venezuelan Cycling Federation will hold two national teams in parallel in Trujillo state, with the objective of evaluating Venezuelan delegations in the upcoming international multi-sport events, Santa Fe, and Parapan American in Lima.

As part of the preparation of the elite and youth team that will be present at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, the riders will undergo a check as part of the National Road Championship that will take place in the city of Valera from September 02 to 06, details a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.

60 riders from 22 states of the country will participate in the joust, including Táchira, Mérida, Capital District, Miranda, Lara and Carabobo as the entities with the greatest tradition because they are the cradle of the most important specialists in the country.

For the adapted section, the challenge will be to score the highest number of points in the ranking of nations of the International Cycling Union (UCI), an indispensable requirement in the classification process of Venezuelan representatives with a view to the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
