Nearly 800 people have been evicted from an illegal mine installed in La Paragua

A total of 799 people have been evicted by the National Armed Forces (FANB) from the illegal La Bulla Loca mine located in the La Paragua Forest Reserve, Bolivar state, according to the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

“These protected areas were arbitrarily invaded by residents who disrespected national sovereignty,” the senior military official highlighted through his X account.

In this regard, he emphasized that the State will continue its efforts to defend the environment, which are above group or private interests, as established by our Magna Carta.
