The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez, said that a cooperation agreement with the Greens Center of India will allow the development of a phased training process for Venezuelan professionals, which will begin in Venezuela and will continue with exchange and specialization programs in the centers of Vantara.

During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the minister indicated that the strategy includes the training of veterinarians, assistants and caregivers, who will receive technical and practical training in the management, conservation and protection of Venezuelan wildlife, through coordination between specialists from India and national teams.

In addition, he highlighted that Venezuela has technical teams that currently define diets, health protocols and conservation processes in the country's zoos and noted that the objective is to strengthen these capacities, increase the number of professionals and consolidate a comprehensive care system that guarantees the protection, health and conservation of species.

On the other hand, he stated that behind each zoo there is fundamental technical work, and that this agreement will raise animal management standards and accelerate the transformation of these spaces into conservation centers, in line with international trends.
