This Wednesday, 03, the Organization of Petroleum Producing Countries (OPEC) assured that this block and its allies, members of the OPEC+ alliance, will work in 2024 for market stability in favor of the global economy, reported on its website Prensa Latina.

He points out that after consulting with the member States of the group, the OPEC secretariat announced this Wednesday the decision to maintain the full commitment to unity and cohesion, set out in the Declaration of Cooperation, signed on December 10, 2016 and supported in subsequent meetings

OPEC+ will continue its “unwavering efforts” to maintain the stability of the oil market, knowing that such efforts constituted clear support to face the numerous economic challenges over the past few years, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the statement said.

The organization indicates that “unprecedented levels of cooperation, dialogue, mutual respect and trust” will continue to be the basis for continued collaborative efforts, “for the benefit of all producers, consumers and investors, as well as the global economy in general”.

According to official data, OPEC oil registered an average price of $82.75 per barrel in 2023, 17% lower than that calculated for 2022.
