Padrino López: We have irrefutable evidence that THE ESEQUIBO IS OURS!

The Minister of People's Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, reiterated that Venezuela has “irrefutable evidence” that the Essequibo Territory belongs to it.
With regard to the 58th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement this Saturday, the only valid legal document to settle the controversy over the aforementioned territory, the minister specified: “Today, when the Geneva Agreement marks another year, it is necessary to remember that we have irrefutable evidence, the historical truth and the consensus of all of Venezuela that THE ESEQUIBO IS OURS! Let the transnational scoundrel who today seeks to offend our demand with impunity know. Moving away from what was established in 1966 eliminates the possibility of a peaceful resolution to our demand!”
In this context, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated that the Paris Arbitration Award is not an instrument to be understood, and she described it as “fraudulent”.
In addition, he noted that the actions taken by Guyana against Venezuela were regrettable, because “it has opted for provocation, threat and armed aggression. Regrettable for the illegality, for ignoring the Geneva Agreement and the Argyle Agreement”.
