This Friday, the Governor of Miranda State, Héctor Rodríguez, delivered 604 agricultural kits, as well as three cargo motorcycles and 537 training certificates to farmers in the municipalities of Tomás Lander, Plaza, Páez, Zamora and Los Salias.

According to information issued by the Government through a press release, the regional president specified that: “I am satisfied with the training work of the peasant sector, last year we trained 1,407 farmers and today we are issuing new certificates for the workers who will cultivate the 120,000 hectares we have in Miranda.”

He also recalled that at the beginning of this year, 2,800 kilos of coffee were exported to Japan and stated that money from the export of coffee, flowers, cocoa and other items is financed by services such as TransMiranda, among others.

In this sense, he called for producing all the necessary items to depend less on imports and face the economic war, while proposing that each commune of the entity become a source of supply of products through the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP).

“For her part, the peasant spokeswoman Lourdes Goncalves, from Guatire, pointed out that the peasant sector of Miranda is undergoing permanent training for land work,” the press release noted.
