After the earthquake of last June 24, the national Government provided access to more than 50 international media that made an appearance in the country in order to cover the emergency that resulted as a result of the strong earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5.
This was evidenced by the accreditation balance presented during the press conference offered by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez. where it is detailed that 70 media were present, including 5 official media, 6 national and 59 international.
The conference also brought together 92 journalists, 34 cameramen and 3 photographers, for a total of 129 people directly linked to news coverage, figures that reveal a wide presence of media and professionals from different backgrounds, precisely at a press conference aimed at providing information on a tragedy with a high national impact.
These figures for the official event increase fivefold when the list of journalists and special envoys from international media is reviewed, totaling 453 people who are in Venezuelan territory covering the affected areas without restrictions of any kind, except those derived from the dangers posed by some areas where there are risks due to unstable structures, as well as those inherent to perimeters where rescue and recovery operations for victims, or removal of debris, are carried out.
These numbers, and the evidence that can be seen in every news, report and live broadcast carried out by international media from the affected states and from the national and international institutions that carry out the work to care for the victims and protect the entire population.
