President (E) awards EU humanitarian aid coordinators for rescue work in Venezuela

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, awarded the Heroes of Venezuela medal award this Wednesday to the humanitarian aid coordinators of the European Union (EU) who participated in the rescue and rescue of the victims of the two earthquakes that occurred last June 24.

The Venezuelan Hero Award, created by the president in charge, honors the international support groups that have been deployed in the country in the midst of the tragedy, with dedication and courage.

The recognition was received by the Petty Officer of the Spanish Fire Department, David Douglas Ortega; the Luxembourg Emergency Management Expert, Flavio Nicoletti; the Head of the Luxembourg Health and Safety Unit, Andrea Nicoletti; the Expert in the Estonian Rescue Board, Kairi Pruul; the Official Policy Officer of Portugal, João Almeida da Silva; the Doctor specializing in emergencies and disasters in Spain, Julio Ruíz.

In addition, the French Disaster Management and Response Specialist, Joseline Lanz; the Operational Management Specialist for Rescue Missions from Italy, Alberto Boanini; and the Italian Specialist and Consultant, Alessandro Rivolta, were also awarded.
