The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Wednesday the construction of a new housing plan and anti-seismic cities following the earthquakes that occurred last June 24 in the country.
During a virtual meeting with the 87 temporary camps deployed in the country, the president in charge stressed “we must assume that Venezuela is a seismic country”, so the new plans “must incorporate new national and international protocols that make it possible in some way to deal with situations in the future”.
He highlighted that these protocols are being studied by national experts and international experts. “We have asked for support from countries that have a seismic tradition, such as Mexico, have highly qualified experts, professionals who are very honest in the field, such as Japan, such as Chile,” he stressed.
