The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Thursday that the first group of rescuers from the Dominican Republic is already heading to the country to join the attention of the contingency caused by the strong earthquakes that occurred in the Latin American nation.

“The first rescuers from the Dominican Republic are already on their way to our country, to support the efforts of caring for the Venezuelan people in the face of this terrible tragedy,” said the president in charge on her Telegram channel.

In the face of the earthquake emergency, governments around the world have expressed their solidarity and support to the People and Government of Venezuela, in addition to offering technical and humanitarian aid to face the catastrophe.
