After inspecting the affected areas in the state of La Guaira, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, moved this Thursday to the San Bernardino parish in Caracas.
The national president confirmed the total collapse of a building and coordinated the rescue and debris removal efforts together with the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, and the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez.
During the tour of the sector, the authorities evaluated the material damage left by the earthquake both in the capital city and in other regions of the national territory.
The on-site deployment prioritized direct care for victims and the diagnosis of the affected civilian infrastructure. The authorities' main objective was to establish direct contact with the community to seek immediate solutions to this situation.
With this oversight in the field, the National Government defined a priority action agenda to address the emergency, focusing recovery efforts on the capital axis and in the state of La Guaira.
