The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Friday that rescuers from Germany, the Netherlands and Italy are already heading to the country, to add more international support to the contingency caused by earthquakes in the South American nation.
“The following rescue teams have arrived in El Salvador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Ecuador, Spain, Chile, Colombia, the United States (...) I really appreciate all the support they are providing at this time to the Venezuelan people and also to report that rescuers from Germany, the Netherlands and Italy are already on their way,” said the president in charge in telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He highlighted the emotional moment that occurred recently at the Football World Cup, at the game between Norway and France, “where a minute of silence was requested by our people. Grateful, it was too emotional, very sensitive,” he said.
“We cry from our hearts, but we are also active and we are at the forefront of these rescue efforts, these recovery efforts and, as I said, where we will emerge stronger and more united than ever as one Venezuela,” he emphasized.
