The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, awarded the "Heroes of Venezuela" and "Dog Heroes of Venezuela" awards to the international brigades of 18 nations that actively assisted the country during the seismic contingency. The recognition was carried out with the purpose of formally thanking the voluntary and immediate deployment of these rescue bodies, who responded with a high sense of solidarity after the strong earthquakes recorded in the national territory on June 24.

The honorary awards were awarded to humanitarian contingents and K9 binomials from Germany, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Jordan, Lithuania, Mexico, Panama, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye and Vietnam.

The president highlighted the commitment and high technical preparation of these foreign delegations, whose operational work in the affected areas was crucial for carrying out rescue work, structural damage assessment and direct civil assistance in vulnerable communities.

“With deep gratitude, we award the Heroes of Venezuela and Canine Heroes of Venezuela awards to international brigades... Those who responded with generosity and commitment to our country's call,” said the president in charge through her official Telegram channel.

In her digital message, the president praised the role of the brigade members, specifying that “their courage, solidarity and spirit of service represent an example of brotherhood between nations”, while categorically stating that “their dedication will remain forever in the memory and heart of the Venezuelan people.”

This act of institutional recognition consolidates the ties of solidarity diplomacy between Venezuela and the countries that joined logistical efforts during the geological emergency. The National Executive concluded by confirming that the heroism and the principle of unconditional cooperation of these teams, both human and canine assistance, will remain an invaluable testimony of global fraternity, supporting the reconstruction and protection protocols that the State maintains in place to guarantee the integral well-being of the population.
