President (e) Rodríguez: We continue to work tirelessly to advance the reconstruction and recovery of the impacted areas

The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, inspected the runway at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía to verify the damage caused by the double earthquake.

Accompanied by a multidisciplinary team, she announced “the immediate activation of an alternative plan that will allow commercial flights to resume as soon as possible on the parallel runway that this airport has”.

He also reiterated his commitment to Venezuelans to continue “working tirelessly to advance the reconstruction and recovery of the impacted areas, with the commitment to re-establish infrastructure and guarantee essential services to our people.”

“During the tour of the affected areas of the country's main air terminal, the National President in charge noted the progress of the repair works and evaluated the operating conditions of the terminal,” the presidential press reported.
