This Thursday, July 02, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, specified that a total of 189 buildings collapsed due to earthquakes last Wednesday, June 24.

“In Venezuela, 189 buildings collapsed, three in the Chacao de Miranda municipality, five in Caracas, one in Tucacas and the rest in La Guaira,” he said.

This is what he said at the Miraflores Palace, during a press conference with international media, in which those buildings completely collapsed, “the one who is under that rubble of a building that collapsed, imagine that he is distressing”.

He also highlighted that officials were also lost “and the tragic thing is that in the state of La Guaira almost all the directors of the Government died, security officials, the Mayor's Office and those who were left alive were there helping with the rescues.”
