President in Charge appoints Luis Pérez as president of the Central Bank of Venezuela

The first president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced on Thursday that the new authority of the Central Bank of Venezuela will be Luis Pérez, who would assume the position left by Laura Guerra who submitted the formal resignation from office.

Rodríguez reported that she received the communication of the resignation of Guerra, who had been appointed in April 2025 as president of the BCV in the midst of a restructuring of the board of directors of the monetary institution. In this regard, the president in charge indicated that Guerra will continue in other activities of the Government, without specifying the position or institution.
