The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized that the order to deploy the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in disaster areas due to the two earthquakes that occurred on June 24, “was given by me as Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces.”

“I gave the order and I am responsible for our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which are there in the territory. He is there embracing family members who hope to recover their loved ones under the rubble of silence,” he reaffirmed.

“When I took the oath, I said: I take the baton of command and give it to the Venezuelan people so that they can go where the people need it most,” he stressed during the commemoration of the 215th Anniversary of Independence and the joint graduation of new officers from the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela (UMBV).
