President-in-Charge congratulates U.S. rescuers for 250 years of independence

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, congratulated the humanitarian brigades of the United States (USA), who participated in the rescue efforts for the earthquakes of last June 24, for the 250 years of the independence of the North American nation.

“It is very important for us that 250 years after your independence you are here with the people of Venezuela. Tomorrow, too, Venezuela celebrates 215 years of its independence, a demonstration that both countries are fighting to be free and independent,” said the president in charge of awarding the rescuers.

He recognized their effort and sacrifice to care for those affected in the midst of the earthquake emergency. “I am sure that the Venezuelan people will never forget this gesture, and I hope that you too will carry the people of Venezuela in your hearts,” he said.
