This Thursday, April 16, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, signed the Organic Mining Law for enactment, in an act held at the Miraflores Palace.

The signing was carried out in the presence of workers from the different mining unions, including state delegates, the private sector and small producers, who were connected via satellite from the Manuel Carlos Piar Mining Complex in Guayana.

During the day, the president in charge was accompanied by the Sectorial Vice President of Economy and Finance, Calixto Ortega and by the Minister of People's Power for Economy and Finance, Anabel Pereira.

This new Law not only strengthens the State's stewardship over mining resources, but it also establishes mechanisms to ensure that exploitation is carried out under the highest standards of environmental protection, occupational safety and social responsibility.
