As part of the revival of national energy production, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a high-level meeting this Saturday with managers of the French company Total Energies E&P New Ventures, with the aim of strengthening strategic cooperation between the nation and the European transnational corporation.
During the day, Venezuelan authorities and French representatives finalized the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating cooperation projects in the area of hydrocarbons.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, and the president of Petrleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón.
This strategic alliance links the country to one of the most important energy companies in the world, with an operational presence in more than 130 countries, confirming the attractiveness of the Venezuelan oil engine on the international stage.
President Delcy Rodríguez has reiterated on several occasions that Venezuela has fully reliable legal, institutional and commercial conditions for attracting foreign capital, in strict accordance with the guarantees established in the Organic Law on Hydrocarbons.
With this step, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its policy of open doors to international capital aimed at the productive and sovereign development of the country's energy resources.
