President in Charge: Electricity service in La Guaira has already recovered by 96%

The President (E) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Thursday that electricity service in the state of La Guaira has recovered by 96%, after the seismic double recorded in the country on June 24.

During a visit to Macuto to evaluate the recovery of critical infrastructure, the president (E) added that 21 electrical substations have already been fully recovered.

“I want to thank the team from the Ministry of Electric Energy, the CORPOELEC team, their workers are there tirelessly, recovering the entire distribution line, the transmission line, the substations in order to guarantee the electrical system,” he said.

Regarding the distribution of drinking water, he reported that the recovery is 84%. “In the completely collapsed areas, water is being served with a cistern, in other words, we are continuing to address and recover everything that has to do with public services,” he explained.
