President-in-Charge evaluated cooperation agenda with U.S. Undersecretary of Agriculture

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, evaluated a cooperation agenda with the Undersecretary of the United States Department of Agriculture, Luke Lindberg, in order to strengthen the strategic lines of collaboration between the two nations.

The meeting focused on coordinating efforts to address the recovery phases after the earthquake that occurred last June 24, highlighting the support provided by international U.S. bodies, the Presidential Press highlighted on its website.

The working meeting was attended, on behalf of the United States, by John M. Barrett, chargé d'affaires to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; and Ryan Shrum, senior official of the Office of Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance of the State Department.

Venezuelan authorities were also present, including the Deputy Minister for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco, and the president of the National Assembly (AN) and the General Staff for the Creation of Transitional Camps, Jorge Rodríguez.

Undersecretary Lindberg, who also leads biosecurity policies and international cooperation in agricultural matters, reviewed with Venezuelan authorities the advances in the management of humanitarian assistance, in order to consolidate binational work mechanisms that facilitate the recovery of areas affected by earthquakes.
